Piotr is an Associate Professor in Criminology at the University of Leicester and Co-Director of the Centre for Hate Studies. He specialises in policy responses to targeted violence, focusing on improving access to justice and extending protection to all groups affected by hate crime and hate speech, particularly in comparative and international contexts. Before joining Leicester, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at Atelier Genre(s) et Sexualité(s) at the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Piotr holds a PhD from University College London and an MA from the University of Warsaw. His work spans research, training, and advocacy in human rights across Europe, contributing to organisations such as the OSCE, the Council of Europe, and the European Union.
